In the years that I have worked with Muslim clients, I came to appreciate that Ramadan can stir up a lots of emotions.
Taking into account the needs of individuals like my clients, I wrote this workbook as an offering for people to tailor intention setting to their situations, and is not prescriptive. Although based in Islamic values and principles, this workbook does not prescribe faith. In each situation where I provide examples or ideas of what intentions someone might set, I include both traditional faith practices and ideas that do not include traditional faith practices. If you are interested in the specific Islamic texts that I used to ground myself as I wrote the workbook, please see the Clinician's Guide.
Especially as this is the beta version that I am testing this year, I am very interested to hear from you with constructive comments and suggestions.
Sincerely,
